As offices prepare to move into the Secretariat Building in 2012, one of the key issues that will confront them is the management of their records.

Those offices that have moved out of the Secretariat Building in 2008-2009 will likely have a head start on the process as they will have gone through a similar exercise at that point. Those offices which will be moving into the Secretariat Building for the first time however, may find that there is a very significant amount of work to be done – namely retention policy development and the disposal and transfer of records.

Fortunately there is a dedicated Records Management Focal Point in your office as well as ARMS staff to guide and assist you in the process.
