Capital Master Plan: UN Offices Move back to the Secretariat. UN offices need to manage records in preparation for the move to the Secretariat building this year. ARMS is assisting all staff through departmental records management Focal Points.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon  visited ARMS in 2010.  He expressed appreciation to staff whose work is not in the spotlight, but is nonetheless critical to the functioning of the Organisation.

La Section des archives et des records a pour mission de s'assurer que le personnel des Nations Unies et le public peuvent aisément accéder aux records qui constituent la mémoire de l'Organisation.

Elle est également chargée de faciliter une gestion des records responsable et adéquate pour l’ONU grâce à l’application de politiques et de normes, ainsi qu’à la réalisation de programmes de formation et de sensibilisation.

Le site Internet réunit toutes les informations concernant les collections d’archives des Nations unies ainsi que les services de ARMS en mettant à disposition des ressources et des outils pour soutenir les programmes de gestion des records.
