When citing UN Archives the elements and order for footnotes and endnotes are:

  • Title on the item
  • Date on the item
  • Title of the file
  • Series Title
  • Fonds Title
  • File Number
  • United Nations Archives

In a bibliography the order is reversed.

Example 1 in footnotes and endnotes:
"UNRRA Liaison Office, Berlin, C-1 Division, U.S. Headquarters, Berlin District, Brigadier Cyrus Greenslade", 19 October 1946, in file Berlin Reports, in series Correspondence of the Office of the Chief and Deputy Chief of Operations at Central Headquarters, United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration Germany Mission fonds, S-0399-0001-02, United Nations Archives.

Example 2 in a bibliography:
United Nations Archives. S-0399-0001-02. United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration Germany Mission fonds.
