The United Nations Archives and Records Management Section’s exhibition programme dates back to 1970, when the Section contributed historical objects from its artefact collection for display during the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the United Nations. From the 2010s, we have increasingly turned to exhibits in order to promote awareness of our archival collections, and the services we provide.
The Archives and Records Management Section’s reading room contains a display case with small rotating exhibits, and we regularly contribute original items and digital surrogates for exhibitions inside and outside the United Nations (see our Partnership and Collaborations section). The links below will take you to some of the online exhibits we have curated.
Also make sure to explore the various photo galleries relating to the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA), Chinese National Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (CNRRA), United Nations Korean Reconstruction Agency (UNKRA), the architecture of the Secretariat Building, and other subjects via our Flickr page.
